The most unbelievable thing about this goal that you’re going to see is that I actually switched the game on late last night just as Messi scored it – one of those “do you remember what you was doing” moments. In my case, I was pretending to do some work of course.
Trust me. You will struggle to see a better goal in your lifetime. Enjoy.
PS: the fact that it wasn’t on youtube last night to upload here turned out for the better because I’ve just found the Arabic commentary version. Guys, I’m seriously giving you lot a real treat here…

The treat for me was the commentary. Goal wasn’t bad n all.

Quote from Wikipedia: “..the spanish press labeled Messi ‘Messidona’. He ran the same distance being 62 metres, ran by the same amount of players, scored in the same part of the goal and ran towards the corner flag as Maradona did in Mexico. Many sports journalists have already labeled it the greatest goal of all time and have put both goals in a video side by side comparison for people to draw their own conclusions.”

Do you remember this goal by George Weah?

Runs across the entire pitch to score an absolute gem. Watch how he beats the last defender – class.
What a shame that he’s an apostate of Islam

Salams all
I don’t know how many times they’ve deleted that video due to copyright threat but I think the current one is good for a while.
And yeah, George Weah’s goal was excellent but nowhere near the quality of this one. And anyway, it’s the hilarious commentary which makes this my best youtube clip ever hands down.
“Maa baalak, maa baalak, maa baalak! Ooooh…ooooh….yaa salaaam…yaa salaam…yaa salaam yaa Messi!”

It says ‘al-Sálikín’.
