Assalamou alaikoum
I would like to know if PG is upon the aqeedah of affirming all of Allah’s Names & Attributes with their apparent ‘dhaahir’ meanings, without denying them, interpreting them or likening them to the creation?
Does PG affirm that Allah is above His creation and that He has Two Hands that are unlike the hands of any of His creation?

Anyone know of any good organization where I can sponsor an orphan?
The Holy Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said:
“I and the person who looks after an orphan will be in Paradise
together like this…” – then he raised his forefinger
and middle finger together.
(Hadith Bukhari)

Salafi, sufi, sunni, shia.. This conflict never finished.. May Allah helps muslim world to get united..
August 26, 2007 at 5:13 pm
Yep the talks were good. Short but sweet. I agree we need to unite.
We were advised to accept differences. My question is: how do you accept differences when a group of muslims are practising an innovation? How do you get passed that?

Wa ‘alaykum salam wa rahmatullah
Firstly, I’d like to thank all the organisers at PG and the attendees for an excellent event last week, may Allah reward you all.
Can I ask without meaning to offend you but what scholars do you take from?
No offence taken. I take from all scholars without exception, past and present – I have no hindrances to the people of knowledge, from whatever school of thought or practice. I will then decide myself what is acceptable to me or not, and that is a private decision based upon my studies over the last 13 years. So, if you want to know how to create a filter to work out what is right and wrong, either try to study for 13 years (!) or become a Muttaqi as Allah jalla wa ‘ala says, “O you who believe, have taqwa of Allah, He will provide you with a criterion (to distinguish between right and wrong) and will write off your evil deeds and will forgive you. Allah is the Lord of great bounty.” (al-Anfāl, 29)
Good luck.
whats happening to the salafee world?
I don’t know – what happened? Everything ok? Is she ill? Did she have a baby? Do we need to visit?
My question is: how do you accept differences when a group of muslims are practising an innovation? How do you get passed that?
My answer is:
1. Study for an appropriate amount of time under bona-fide scholars to achieve that necessary level of knowledge which will allow you to determine whether your contention really is an innovation or not.
2. If it is considered an innovation by all and sundry, that action will be rejected.
3. If it is an innovation only to some, and accepted by others to be correct, and there is some basis for that, then this is a difference of opinion and we accept it insha’Allah. If your heart can’t take it but your teacher is telling you to leave it, and you still can’t handle it, I advise a nice cold bath whilst lying down in the tub.
This way, you’ll follow the sunnah of sitting down, lying down even, making wudhu, ghusl even, and getting frozen at the same time. This is guaranteed to take your mind off perceived “unacceptable innovations”.
Dear brothers and sisters, forgive the humour (although you’ll know that a leopard can’t change its spots) but for far too long we’ve been putting up with the ignorance and trouble-making of far too many people and there had to be a reaction some time, and this is that reaction. If you can’t understand what on Earth I’m talking about, then ignore me and just carry on as if nothing has changed, for as far as I’m concerned, nothing has. No one is in crisis, no da’wah is dying, no war has been fought and no deen has been turned upside down. And Alhamdulillah for that.
August 28, 2007 at 2:12 pm
Bid’ah, bid’ah, bid’ah. So many accusations, so little knowledge what actually constitutes a bid’ah. There is very little if anything in the english language on a breakdown of what is the shar’i definition of a bid’ah, what isn’t a bid’ah, if something “good” can be a bid’ah, bid’ah vs maslaha, pillars and conditions of bid’ah etc etc. I bet most people don’t even know there’s more to bid’ah than just “innovation”.
August 29, 2007 at 11:53 pm
Then please saabirah educate us ignorant amongst the masses. Would be something beneficial to put on your blog, insha’Allah.
I understand people’s concern but Alhamdulillah its a way forward in uniting this ummah and if we can see the bigger picture and get past the differences then subhanAllah wonders can be done. Take what you feel comfortable with and ask Allah for guidance at all times. I don’t have problem with certain speakers but i prefer not to take knowledge from them (unless general topics) as i have other teachers i feel more secure with and can learn from them. Many of us are not in the state where can completely dicipher the sahih from the erroneous, but JazakAllah Khayr AE you have given us the key to that problem – taqwa, so not to worry people!!
