I agree there can be no peace with Israel until we make peace with our own deen, like getting rid of the diseases of nationalism, materialism, consumerism, warped allegiances, reactionism, aping the west, emotionalis, interest-riba, etc.
‘Finally, a month and a half before the elections, Israel takes some action.
I definitely see this as linked, but it’s OK, better late than never. What’s been happening in Gaza is fantastic. I feel very bad about the man killed in [the Israeli town of] Netivot.
We usually like to vote for someone quite right wing and who actually does something, so definitely not Kadima, and not Labour. So that probably leaves Likud. It’s unfortunate that we have to choose by a process of elimination.
MECHI FENDEL, MOTHER OF SEVEN, SDEROT, Occupied Palestine.
Just a quick reminder for myself first and to everyone, please make as much du’a as one can for our brothers and sisters in Palestine (and the rest of the world for that matter).
This is the Jewish leaders all ganged together which puts in perspective who is allied with who’ don’t hold your breath waiting for help from if any they are friends of one and other in the killing of the ummah!

We can also donate money. We can do almost everything at a click of a button these days, buy clothes, shoes even cars, make comments. Many of us sit in front of a PC all day, be it for work, reading, studying, or waste of time things.
Why not donate some money?
I saw pictures of children in gaza sitting around a table with their dad hardly clothed and no food. Last night as I put my children to bed I felt drawn to holding them longer than usual. How it pains us if anything happens to them, even a scrape or a hunger pan. The children of the Ummah are bleeding and crying.
It amazes me – the number of Muslims that shop at M&S.
Don’t forget we can also maximise our Ibaadah by combining our intentions, sunnah or nafl with repentance. Purify ourselves and beseech Allah for forgiveness and aid.
Troops, tanks and planes being deployed
yet again were being destroyed,
How much more blood will need to be spilt,
till we at least start feeling some guilt?
I see my brothers and my sisters running for their lives,
with no weapons to survive
and no place to hide,
getting clapped down with sum gats on the streets to die,
Oh its ok brother, its only a bunch of deviant extreme terrorists,
protecting themselves from tanks using their fists,
throwing their stones to protect their homes,
whilst powerful kings just sit on their thrones.
Social security and family credit
Its the only thing on our minds, lets just admit it,
kickin off because of a late giro,
Never gonna think about donating some dough
Im not trying to create no suicide bomber,
else before we know it, ill be a gonner,
guantanamo bay will be my new gaf,
trust me that aint the way, it aint the right path,
Wake up o people before its too late,
at this rate even mecca wont be in our fate,
Lets make dua and lets make taubah,
Inshallah victory will be ours, before the games ova!
Interpal wrote about the people in Gaza scrounging for grass to eat and a house with no furniture as the family who lives there burnt it for heat…bear in mind this was before the recent attacks. Whilst LloydsTSB remains determined to close their accounts now Barclays have also issued notice of closure of their sister charity “ummah welfare trust.

Gaza families eat grass as Israel locks border
December 15: 2008
Source: The Sunday Times – Marie Colvin
As a convoy of blue-and-white United Nations trucks loaded with food waited last night for Israeli permission to enter Gaza, Jindiya Abu Amra and her 12-year-old daughter went scrounging for the wild grass their family now lives on.
“We had one meal today – khobbeizeh,” said Abu Amra, 43, showing the leaves of a plant that grows along the streets of Gaza. “Every day, I wake up and start looking for wood and plastic to burn for fuel and I beg. When I find nothing, we eat this grass.”
Abu Amra and her unemployed husband have seven daughters and a son. Their tiny breeze-block house has had no furniture since they burnt the last cupboard for heat.
“I can’t remember seeing a fruit,” said Rabab, 12, who goes with her mother most mornings to scavenge. She is dressed in a tracksuit top and holed jeans, and her feet are bare.
Conditions for most of the 1.5m Gazans have deteriorated dramatically in the past month, since a truce between Israel and Hamas, the ruling Islamist party, broke down.
Israel says it will open the borders again when Hamas stops launching rockets at southern Israel. Hamas says it will crack down on the rocket launchers when Israel opens the borders.
The fragile truce technically ends this Thursday, and there have been few signs it will be renewed. Nobody knows how to resolve the stalemate. Secret talks are under way through Egyptian intermediaries, although both sides deny any contact.
Israel controls the borders and allows in humanitarian supplies only sporadically. Families had electricity for six hours a day last week. Cooking gas was available only through the illegal tunnels that run into Egypt, and by last week had jumped in price from 80 shekels per canister (£14) to 380 shekels (£66).
The UN, which has responsibility for 1m refugees in Gaza, is in despair. “The economy has been crushed and there are no imports or exports,” said John Ging, director of its relief and works agency.
“Two weeks ago, for the first time in 60 years, we ran out of food,” he said. “We used to get 70 to 80 trucks per day, now we are getting 15 trucks a day, and only when the border opens. We’re living hand to mouth.”
He has four days of food in stock for distribution to the most desperate – and no idea whether Israel will reopen the border. The Abu Amra family may have to eat wild grass for the foreseeable future.
You have to understand that this is not a sudden attack. There are no sudden attacks within this global system. Israel would have informed all of its devil allies before carrying out these kind of bombings and the allies would have given their support or at least their usual mute response. Everybody (except the suckers like you and I) is aware of it …whether it is Obama in his daily briefings, or the so called Sheikhs (and where is Israel getting its oil from anyway? Good question?), the Browns, the Bushes and ashes, our old dear muslim dictators, especially those people that have borders with Israel. Everyone is usually notified well in advance of these kind of raids.
So, don’t just blame Israel that is very easy since it prevents you from looking within… this is a whole system and until you wake up to that fact, and boycott it (ideologically speaking), muslims will continue to suffer…there is no other way because Allah would not allow the muslims he loves to die with this kind of hangover only to struggle on the day of judgement, over the Sirat. So, wake up now, before we are beaten with a stick to wake up, before our turn comes. The system goals and objective – if any – is more or less the antithesis of what a true muslim aspires to. You have been sedated by modernity.
So three things:
*)Intensify your shahadatain with an intense intensity – both on the tongue and in the heart…realising that the second part (Muhammad rasullulah) implies Muhammad is the messenger of Allah and messengers are only sent with a message when they are trusted. And this trust covers all the finest details of his attributes, ethos and etiquettes. This belief must reside extremely firmly in the heart regardless of what you see in front of you by way of the new world.
I could have talked about the first part, but inshallah the second part is easier for us and has a hukm that virtually equates the first part. “Those who have give a pledge to you have given a pledge to Allah.”
*)We need to make a far reaching Tawba/istighfar – for what we know and what we don’t know from our bad actions.
*) Dua’a all the time.
And then Allah will inspire us with the best action of tawfiq. This is where our Power lies, not in bombs, or rockets as the barbarians do. Not in spending billions of dollars on fighter planes only to clean them for the rest of their lives. Foools!
Not in killing innocent civilians and indiscriminate firing of weapons of mass destrubtion. We won’t win anything like that because it violates our Teachings, especially if it becomes ideological – something we believe we have to do in order to succeed. What you have to do in order to succeed is what I have listed above. It sounds too simple to be true. Well, it you want a complicated life, go ahead, Allah will leave you to tire yourself out.
The statement “as for peace with Israel, then peace be upon it” is narrated from one of the ‘Ulema concerning our attitude to the Zionist criminals i.e. there will never be peace with these thugs. There should never be any single doubt about this fact in the hearts and minds of every Muslim wherever he/she may be in the world. There is no point in arguing back and forth about deaths and attacks on each side of the “border” because the all out attack by Israeli forces has yet again proved their real intentions after their starvation of the Palestinians by blockade over the last year.
Although we believe in the permissibility of truces and temporary peace treaties and indeed recognise that such action is the better one at certain times in order to limit the loss of life and destruction, it has become clear that the Zionist terrorists feel too confident about themselves and thus the only way to protect the dignity of the oppressed is to fight back.
The Shari‘ah demands the return of al-Quds to full Muslim control – the fact that our Palestinian brothers and sisters are the only ones defending that blessed land with their lives is just another nail in the coffin of the rest of our impotent Ummah in all its aspects.
Thus, just as the various bandit rulers of Muslim countries have all this blood on their hands for being blessed with so much natural resources and wealth beyond imagination and yet have allowed this murder to continue and even being complicit in the entire campaign, likewise us normal Muslims are equally to blame. We only get those over us who we deserve. If we individually don’t have it in us, then there is no point just blaming our leaders.
I can’t just blame Hosni Mubarak when I myself was sat opposite Ehud Barak in a recent conference and remained completely quiet during the entire debate. The reality is that we all have blood on our hands.
One thing that we can do though is to instil firmly in the hearts and minds of every Muslim that our blood is worth more than the petty price it achieves on the international market. It is part of our theology that we shall continue to protect and defend our lives and honour as best we can despite setbacks and loss of life. We need to learn a lesson from the Zionist Israelis who obligate military service upon virtually all of the males of their nation and call upon these “reservists” in times such as now. Likewise the Muslims need to recognise that military service has also been obligated upon them, particularly those close to and surrounding the occupied territories to defend holy Muslim land. This is legal according to international law, just ask the Israelis!
Also, at such times of intense anger, it is important for Muslims in non-Muslim countries not to get involved in ignorant and sometimes impermissible actions of targeting/harming those innocent Jews (in our communities for example) or non-Jews (such as the police at protest rallies). It is at times of such pressure and difficulty that a Muslim displays control and divine guidance rather than lose his/her mind. If they can’t go and help in the effort in Palestine, they should concentrate on educating themselves and their children about the realities of the blessed land by studying and practising their religion sincerely, as well as utilising their skills and opportunity in a democracy to fight the propaganda and ideological war in the “West” which is just as strong as the real war in the Middle East.
Finally, the glut of emails and text messages that everyone receives at such times urging people to “make du‘ā” need to be tempered with some harsh reality: your du‘ā is only as good as you yourself. If you have hope in yourself (and you should of course) then have some hope for your du‘ā but if we’re still indulging in the haram and leaving your obligations then not only could we be wasting our time but we’re also a living proof of why Allah continues to show the results of our own actions in the deaths of our brothers and sisters elsewhere.
Reflection and action my dear brothers and sisters.
As we enter the blessed month of Muharram i would like to remind myself and others of the hadith reported by Abu Hurairah.
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah (S) said: The best month for observing fasting after Ramadan is the month of Allah, Muharram.
Alhumdulillah we are in the winter months, the days are very short and as a result fasing has become much easier. A few months ago in ramadan we were fasting for 15 hours, now a fast is no longer than 10 hours.
Lets take advantage of this time of year. Actions we normally find so difficult(fasting, tahajjud etc) are made very easy for those who really want it in the winter months.
We know that Muharram is one of the sacred months and contains Ashura (10th Muharram). Abu Qatadah reported that the Messenger of Allah (S) was asked about observing fast on the tenth day of Muharram, and He replied, “It is an expiation for the sins of the previous year.”
Great opportunities my brothers and sisters, lets not be great losers!
Salaam
I’m sorry this question is slightly off topic, but I was wondering if anyone could let me know whether or not attending mixed muslim weddings is permissable?
Most of the weddings attended today are alhamdulilah segregated, although a small minority still aren’t. However if you’re invited to a family member’s wedding who arent as practising, what should be done? Should you attend as they are family and you need to maintain the ties of kinship? Or not attend?
While many of us are cold, complaining of the weather, our past predecessors rejoiced at the coming of this season….Why?
“The best season to a believer is the winter, its nights are long for those who wish to pray, and its days are short for those who wish to fast” Al Hasan Al Basri.
It is reported from Abu Hurayrah -
Allah be pleased with him – that he said:
Shall I not point you to comfortable proceeds? People responded, “And what is that o Abu Hurayrah?” He replied, “Fasting in winter.”
It is reported from ‘Umar – Allah be pleased with him – that he said:
Winter is booty for the devout worshippers.
It is reported from ‘Ubayd bin ‘Umayr – Allah have mercy on him – that he said:
It used to be said when winter came: O people of the Qur`an, the night has become long so you can pray (more) and the day has become short for you to fast.
Abu Nu’aym, Hilyah Al-Awliyaa`.
It is reported from the famous worshipper Rabi’ah – Allah have mercy on her – that she said:
I have never heard the adhan except that I remember the caller who will announce the Day of Resurrection, and I never see the falling snow except that I imagine the flying pages of the records of peoples deeds (on that day), and I never see swarms of locusts except that I think about the Great Gathering on the Last Day.
Jews can only do this because of America’s backing under international law both America and Britain have been complicit in assisting genocide floated the international agreement that no nation shall occupy another nations land and therefore the host people (Palestinians) shall have the right of resistance and right of self determination against the Abomination they call Israel’ as stated under the Geneva conventions. the Zionist entity has stolen killed and carved a country built on the bones of Arab men women and children they are by nature a sick twisted people who are diseased in both their hearts and minds they hold an evil philosophy that holds one race superior while another one inferior until they are destroyed then the dream of lasting peace and world citizenship will be an illusion to be pursued but never attained and until it is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned then it will be war. Muslims must fight as we find it necessary as we are confident in the victory of good over evil and right over wrong’ they are the stain that blights humanity who will not only come to incur the anger of the world community but shall be visited by the wrath of God Himself they are the enemies of Gabriel Michael and the Angel Israel. They the Zionist entity have floated and abused the law written to protect Men in front the international stare they shamelessly killed without conscience or even mindful of their sin. May Allah Subhanna wa ta Allah destroy the plans of the oppressors’ and let his sins confound him and break his evil plan to ensnare himself. Ameen
This is part of their strategic plan and they openly say it, with this being only the begining.
As muslims we were and are very ill prepared, physically and spiritually. And usual we are re-active rather than pro active. At the moment Hamas are going at it alone. The Zionists not even allowing people in and have surrounded out brothers and sisters. This needs to be lessons to us. We become complacent, we stop thinking and let go of our ibadah.
JazakAllah Khayr for the reminder of takng advantage of winter nights and days.
As a community now we have to really come together and repent like anything and increase our worship to prevent something like this from happening again. Take means which will strengthen our eeman, so when a calamity hits we’re not shaken by it, rather we will take it head strong, like the people of izzah do.
Physically, like our scholars say peace be upon peace with Israel. Frustration in Britain isn’t going to get you very far and half the population doesn’t have a clue, they just follow the media, they’re not evil and calculated like the Jews of Israel, except for the one who support them here, but we have no way of knowing which civilian does or doesn’t. The government well they’re another joke. I have no faith in any of the governments, they will do what they want regardless of how much we petition, or protest or write letters to. It doesn’t change their polices or their undying support for the oppressors. They are allies of one another and that’s not going to change because of signatures. However, i am not saying all this is in vain as Allah(subhana wa ta’ala) knows what you did to help your bros and sisters and insha’Allah it will go down on your record. Also, if we make some noise at least they know that we are still around and that we do still care and that we will not stop caring and if they don’t pay heed, some of us will give blood. If we don’t let this be known then they will think we are a completely pathetic nation, with no concern, which will only strengthen them. They walk all over us now, what do you think they’ll do if we remain completely dormant.
But brothers and sisters this lays on our shoulders and hanging over our head. Sisters we need to give teachings to our sons, teach what it is to be a real man. We’ve clothed them and comforted them with the dunya. They maybe toddlers or in their primary years, but you think this war won’t exist when they reach their manhood? We need to prepare, have strategy in place. Gear them up, so that they say when i grow up i want to be a mujahid. When i grow up i want to be a Just ruler. When i grow up i want to be the Mahdi’s righthand man! Encourage your husbands. Letting go is hard, but an eternity with them is better than a temporary stay with them.
Brothers, you have a huge responsibility on your shoulders. Alhamdulillah some of you are da’ees, some of you are students of knowledge, some of you are doctors and economists. Alhamdulillah all very good, as a community needs these things. But how many of you know anything about warfare and military. If you really want martyrdom and want to help the oppressed, then you’re not going to achieve it unless you have sincere intention and are making preparations for it. Yes Allah may not plan it for you and you maybe best utilised elsewhere, but does that mean you do not have intention for it. If nobody thinks about it or is up for it, then who is supposed to defend our brothers. Their wives and 5yr old child? The leaders and the money makers of the East? No it will have to be the brave one and the one with taqwa, as Allah will only give Victory to an army of men with taqwa.
I’ve seen and know of muslim men in muslim countries, they are not going to help except for a handful. But masha’Allah, brothers in the West who keep firm on their deen, maybe you brothers have the ability.
I know it seems next to impossible with all the restraints and gorvernment spies. But if you sincere and really wish to meet Allah(subhan wa ta’la) then will He not make a way for you? What are you doing on your part? Like ustadh our du’a is only as good as us.
Finally, this post is not inciting violence or promoting killing of innocent people and i don’t have anything against Jewish people or Christians, British or Americans. As i walk with them down the street, and myself i’m British, i was born and brought up here, so if anybody is thinking of taking your frustrations out on the sreets of England, more than likely you’ll end up harming your fellow muslim.
I only wish to revive the response to the call
‘And what is wrong with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah, and for the weak, ill treated and oppressed among men, women and children, whose cry is: ‘Our Lord! rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from You one who will protect and raise for us from You one who will help.’
{An Nisa: 75}
Just think about things for a minute. What are we doing at the present and what are planning for the future? Do we want another bloody start to the sacred month of Muharram?
come on kifayatullah if we say it any other way the door will come down the room will be full of screamimg pigs abuseing and upsetting the childern! big salaam go’s out to you!
as a young muslim living in the west, and with all the excuses people on other posts similar to this one make about their situation i cant help but feel that the blood on my brothers and sisters in Palastine is indeed my own blood. I have been wanting to for a while take some form of action to help my brothers, if anyone has any suggestions of what i could do practically then im all ears.
many of the people on this post have been posting for a long time, i just wonder if we spend the same amount of time acticng as we do surfing the net perhaps what is happening to our fellow muslims would have stopped a long time ago.
What’s the point of attending a demo/ protest/vigil? What are you trying to achieve?
It is our responsibility as humans and especially as Muslims to speak out against any wrongdoing anywhere in the world. RIGHT NOW, at this very moment in time, innocent Muslim brothers and sisters are being massacred by the Israeli Zionist regime. To do nothing would be shameful to sit there and let this all happen is shameful.
I’m not saying we will do anything so drastic as stopping the Israelis. We must do what is in our power and use what resources we have to help and support those in Gaza.
Right now all you can do is show your solidarity for the Palestinians by going to demonstrations furthermore by going to a demo you will create awareness the more people who know about the cause the better.
The people who keep asking me that question, have the view that anything they do won’t affect anything on a global scale, it won’t affect any decisions made by major institutions e.g. governments and media outlets. What they do not realise is that it does affect things on a global scale but via a national and a local scale first.
So this is why it is so important to be there at these demonstrations. You are doing your part on a local level to stir some change on national and international level, InshAllah.
Other things you can do apart from attending demonstrations are:
1. Attend the demonstrations happening around you
If there is no demonstration happening near you, coordinate with others people/groups to organise one.
2. Watch the media and contact them to ask them to improve their coverage
3. Contact your MP and ask pressingly for urgent action, don’t take any diplomatic answers, this is a life or death matter and they need to know you care!! (http://www.writetothem.com)
4. Call and email your government representatives
5. Donate to Interpal, (they are a charity that do a lot of important work in Gaza) .Aid is trickling in slowly, but that should not deter from giving. http://www.interpal.org/donate/donate.html
NOTICE: There is a fundraising food sale event for Gaza after the Jumaah at didsbury mosque THIS FRIDAY (02 of January ‘09) from 2pm – 4pm.
Bring yourselves, your family, friends and your money!
All money goes to Gaza. Your support is much appreciated, please pass on the message!

I just found this video and would like to share it with all as I and i think most people today will be unaware that the orthodox jews are against the state of israel, as the torah forbids it. The usual propaganda/politics etc.
Also, salaam Brother Kifayatullah, i haven’t seen you in a long time. I remember you moving but after that i haven’t really seen you in cheadle. How are you? Im the young lad who you used to drop of after the friday study circles . How are you and your family?
Slaughter in Gaza – What Can You Do ?
By Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid
What can we do about the slaughter of Muslims in Palestine and around the world?
What is our stance concerning the slaughter of Muslims in Palestine and other parts of the world that is happening right now, where houses are being destroyed, farms are being wrecked, children are being killed, the wounded are being detained in the streets, houses are being bombarded and people are being prevented by the Jews and others, from buying the food and drink that they need? What can I, as a Muslim, do?
Praise be to Allaah.
1. You have to make du’aa’, and recite du’a’ al-qunoot in your salaah (prayer).
2. Collect charity and send it through trustworthy channels.
3. Support the weak and oppressed in all ways, including the media and the internet.
4. Get scholars, daa’iyahs, khateebs and writers to explain the oppression that is happening and the negligence on the part of the ummah, and to mobilize the ummah to defend the holy places.
5. Check on one’s own intentions with regard to fighting for the sake of Allaah, and see whether he is applying the hadeeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “Whoever dies without having fought for the sake of Allaah or having had the intention of doing so, has died following one of the branches of hypocrisy.” (Saheeh Muslim, no. 3533)
6. Pursuing all the means of building up material and moral strength, in preparation for meeting the enemy (in battle).
7. Reminding oneself and others of the virtues of martyrdom for the sake of Allaah and studying the rulings on jihad, and not having an attachment to this world.
8. Doing as much damage as possible to the enemies who are in a state of war with us, by boycotting their products, attacking them verbally and in writing to humiliate and annoy them, and to point out their kufr and shirk, and their insults to Allaah, His Messenger and the believers, publishing as much as possible in the audio-visual and print media about this serious topic whilst also connecting that to Islamic belief and the words of Allaah and His Messenger,
We ask Allaah the Exalted and All-Powerful to support His religion and cause His word to prevail.
to know the history of Palestine then watch the documentary OCCUPATION 101 u can download as a torrent from the net. all the interviews are given by non Muslims very beneficial.enjoy
Boycott Israeli products. Look at the 1st three digits on the barcode, if it starts with 729 its from Israel. Also boycott M&S, Starbucks, Coke Cola, McDonalds and L’Oreal products. Collectively as a united Ummah we can make a huge difference, inshAllah, especially living in the West.
Call any random number in Gaza, and tell them that you are calling from North America (or wherever you are), make Duaa for them and tell them all their brothers and sisters around the world are with them; this will give them moral support and courage ! How to call? > Very simple!
Dial any of these number and replace the last 4 digits by any random ones, try 4 or 5 times and you’ll reach a family insha’Allah ! Even if you don’t speak Arabic, talk to them with very slow and simple English

I was wondering if anyone could let me know whether or not attending mixed muslim weddings is permissable?
That depends on the amount of evil at such a place. If there is a happy promotion of music, dancing, men and women semi-naked and free-mixing occuring then it should be avoided. Otherwise, the mere fact that a wedding is “mixed” (which of course all weddings are!) is not an issue. Naturally, segregation is preferable but if there is no segregation and people are generally observing hijab and Islamic etiquette, then one can attend, especially if ties of kinship are at risk. I normally avoid most weddings like the plague and have a whole list of excuses so all the best to you in your attempts!
Could you recommended some easy-to-digest sites/books that us Muslims can educate ourselves about the history of Palestine?
I’m afraid I don’t know of any that I can recall now but I’m sure others will be able to help.
This is a great statement barakallahu feek. All of this comment should be re-read and memorised.
I’d like to know how to respond to someone who says, ‘there’s no point in sending money. It probably won’t get there.’
Well that’s simply not true if one uses the mainstream charities such as Islamic Relief and Human Appeal. Although not perfect, such charities enjoy diplomatic protection and can cross difficult borders such as the Israeli border whereas the places you might want to send money will invariably go to waste.
what is the benefit of going to a march?
The benefit of a march is that it makes it all that little bit more difficult for political leaders, despite the fact that they do so regardless. Also, as I’ll touch upon in the next post, it is a hujjah against them when these leaders burn in Hell. Ay na’m.
It also shows many Muslims that there are many non-Muslims, Jews and others, who are completely against Israel’s aggression. This is important for correcting erroneous theological beliefs around the globe.
Marches and protests are just some of many things for us all to do. Make sure you also put the fasting of today and the other days of Muharram especially the 9th and 10th (which is Tuesday and Wednesday) as a priority and that you use the end of a sacred day of fasting as a sincere moment of du’a to Allah ‘azza wa jall to destroy these oppressors, wa law ba’da heen.
Please can I have your opinion or could you guide me to somewhere that I can find out, is the alcohol in Perfumes in reality classed as Khamr?
My position is that the alcohol in perfumes is not khamr at all and thus quite permissible to use insha’Allah. This is the correct position from amongst the scholars and Allah knows best.
Also, let that be a reminder to the rest of you that I am thus very much accepting the latest EDT’s as gifts…
What a great idea masha’Allah. Often people just don’t realise how much it can mean to know that others know you’re still there listening, watching, praying. Trust me, I’ve been there.
assalamu alaikum sheikh, when are the adab classes starting? can’t wait!
Well to be honest, the response to another season of the Adab circle as well as the other circles was very poor, not even reaching double figures (!), so I’ve decided to release what would have been much of the material for Season 3 (on the bringing up of children) as a pdf file very soon insha’Allah. That suits me fine, and will allow me to work on other things until people sort themselves out.
Just a reminder or for those who may have missed it please express your interest and commitment for re starting the Adab classes at the following link.
salaam! a pdf file? Alhamdulilah its better than nothing bt jus not as entertaining, i always seem to remember things better when its heard not read anyway 20 solid students gta b better than 200 passive right?
jazakallhu khayr for the pdf and your effort and patience ya ustadh inshaAllah you will reap the benefits for all your hard work if not in this dunya den… certainly Allah loses not the reward of the mu’mineen.
p.s. i remembered that ayah specifically bcoz u quoted it in one of the episodes or was it mu’hsineen?

I agree there can be no peace with Israel until we make peace with our own deen, like getting rid of the diseases of nationalism, materialism, consumerism, warped allegiances, reactionism, aping the west, emotionalis, interest-riba, etc.

An Evil Zionist Womans comments about Gaza.

Inshallah!

Salaam’alaykum, apologies I am a little blonde. Shaykh by the Post do you mean:
1) As for Peace with Israel, let us make Peace as soon as possible so the People’s suffering may be reduced.
2) or do you mean as for Peace with Israel, then Peace be upon it (i.e. Goodbye) – due to their relentless barbarous attacks.

Anyway!

And Allah knows best.

Remember me in your duas

{An Nisa: 75}
Just think about things for a minute. What are we doing at the present and what are planning for the future? Do we want another bloody start to the sacred month of Muharram?

Salaam all
as a young muslim living in the west, and with all the excuses people on other posts similar to this one make about their situation i cant help but feel that the blood on my brothers and sisters in Palastine is indeed my own blood. I have been wanting to for a while take some form of action to help my brothers, if anyone has any suggestions of what i could do practically then im all ears.
many of the people on this post have been posting for a long time, i just wonder if we spend the same amount of time acticng as we do surfing the net perhaps what is happening to our fellow muslims would have stopped a long time ago.

salam AE. what is the benefit of going to a march?
January 1, 2009 at 2:26 pm

So this is why it is so important to be there at these demonstrations. You are doing your part on a local level to stir some change on national and international level, InshAllah.
Other things you can do apart from attending demonstrations are:
1. Attend the demonstrations happening around you for a list of demonstrations/vigils see Stop the War Coalition and action for palestine web sites
5. Donate to Interpal, (they are a charity that do a lot of important work in Gaza) AID IS TRICKILING IN ALBEIT SLOWLY BUT THIS SHOULD NEVER DETER FROM GIVING

AssalamuAlaikum Ustadh,
Please can I have your opinion or could you guide me to somewhere that I can find out, is the alcohol in Perfumes in reality classed as Khamr?
January 4, 2009 at 10:57 pm
Call any random number in Gaza, and tell them that you are calling from North America (or wherever you are), make Duaa for them and tell them all their brothers and sisters around the world are with them; this will give them moral support and courage ! How to call? > Very simple!
Dial any of these number and replace the last 4 digits by any random ones, try 4 or 5 times and you’ll reach a family insha’Allah ! Even if you don’t speak Arabic, talk to them with very slow and simple English

Wa ‘alaykum salam wa rahmatullah
