We all hope that it will be a great resource for both Muslims and non-Muslims insha’Allah. It has a section about Islam for non-Muslims which is intended to be longer, deeper and more meaningful in contrast to the shorter, sharper messages that are sometimes more in vogue. Although still in its early stages, this area will continue to be worked upon as it is still a work-in-progress.
For the Muslims, you’ll find a large collection of articles with many more still be added. For the Arabic speakers amongst you, you’ll exclusively find all of the al-Hady al-Nabawy magazines as written by Shaykh Kehlan al-Jubury in high-quality pdf.
The jewel of the PG site is its Productions page with audio and video lectures of speakers in the West that have been edited under the auspice of PG Productions in the last six years. We hope that many people will benefit from the material that has been made available, both learning-style lectures as well as focused reminders.
With over one hundred more hours of exclusive video still in the editing phase to be soon added, make sure to keep checking regularly for further updates.
The site is also meant to act as a community portal focusing on the North of England, outlining our activities as well as allowing you all to advertise your events in your own communities on the Events Page.
I and the rest of the teachers at PG are very grateful for the hard work from all the brothers and sisters behind the PG site with special mentions to Sabira Ali (Webmaster), Shazad Saleem (the Amir), Hakeem, Nasar, Mahmud, Abuzer and many more.
If any brothers or sisters feel they have good quality material they wish to contribute to the site, whether articles or multimedia, please send your request to info@propheticguidance.co.uk where it will then be vetted for its suitability on the site.
My final request would be for all readers to spread the news of the new PG site in all their forums, mailing lists and amongst their personal contacts. We would also appreciate any feedback/comments both here below or using the Contact Us page on the site.
Update: all those who have photographs of their events and activities, particularly those in the North West or with those who have some kind of mutual link to PG and/or their activities, please send them with a brief explanation to the above email address so that they can be included on the PG Gallery section.
And with Allah jalla wa ‘alā belongs all success.

asalamu alaykum dear Ustath. May Allah place baraka in your efforts, grant you every tawfiq, and give to you every khayr in dunya and akhirah, may He make you a light for this ummah in our dark and turbulent times – may He allow us to benefit, ameen.

Assalamo alaikom sheikh,
jazakAllah for these brilliant websites – may Allah reward you with much goodness in both worlds, and everyone else who has helped achieve it.
I had two quick questions related:
- In the productions section there are some very good videos which commence with
“Maulai”, written by al-Busiri and performed by Muhammad Husayyan, courtesy of al-Alwan’l-Taif by arrangement with Khalid al-Dhayani. All rights reserved © al-Alwan’l-Taif, 2005.
Could you just confirm for me that it doesn’t have any musical accompaniment as I liked it a lot and wanted to know where i could get a copy of it?
- I think you mentioned in a reply to a question that it’s allowed from a point of shareeah to go to wedding even if it is mixed. I had previously been under the impression that most scholars didn’t allow being in a mixed environment. Could you kindly briefly explain. Thank yuo so much brohter.
I also was wondering if you could advise as to how my brother can explain to his non-muslim colleagues from a rational point of view why islam doesn’t allow him/prefer him to go to a restaurant where alcohol is being served, even if it’s not on his table per se.
May Allah reward you generously for all your help brother..really. Amin.

Wa ‘alaykum salam wa rahmatullah everyone
Jazakumullahu khayran for your du’as and comments. Please continue to give us constructive feedback here so that beneficial changes can be made and acted upon.
The request for the audios to be allowed to be downloaded is a reasonable one. Let’s wait to see some further feedback on the policies of the site and then perhaps some of these can be revised later on.
Re Tatoos: these are not permissible. As for those who have had them before they knew, then insha’Allah he is not accountable due to the excuse of ignorance and he is not obligated to remove them unless there is something highly objectionable and visible such as naked woman or swear words or kufr etc.
And Allah knows best.
This blog will remain open only for feedback for the PG site for the forseeable future so please restrict it to that use. The PG site will become the site of further updates and info over the coming months insha’Allah.
Shukran.

salaam! Jazakumullahu khayran for everyone @ PG site looks amazing Alhamdulilah i definetly second that downloads should b made available as it would be an easier access to benefit even more people esp with the world wide use of ipods.
‘With over one hundred more hours of exclusive video still in the editing phase to be soon added,’
thats wonderful news but it is just not possible/practical to spend hundreds of hours on the pc to watch these invaluable productions, please consider downloads esp for al Adab al Mufrad.

AssalamuAlaikum,
The site is looking good MashaAllah.
May Allah accept the efforts of all who contributed.
I was wondering if there will be any kind of community forum or interactive ways to ask yourself or Sheikh Kehlan hafidhahullah questions or discussions that are specific to Manchester?
Perhaps with a real name/kunya policy.
Although I do understand in some ways why it may be better not to…

Salams,
New lesson just started in Ashton. The text being covered is ‘Thalaathatul-Usool (The Three Principles) by Shaykh Muhammad bin ‘Abdul Wahab rahimahullaah.
Book being used for study is ‘Explanation of the Three Fundamental Principles of Islaam’ by the noble Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saaloh al-’Uthaymeen rahimahullaah.
Lesson takes place at Masjid in Ashton located 14 Stanhope Street Ashton Under Lyne OL6 9QZ. Lesson starts at 19.00 and is read by Brother Sajad Rana from Nelson.
I would strongly recommend all brothers & sisters attend and take benefit of this excellent opportunity to study an invaluable text.
All welcome.

Salams,
Thank you for your previous post on the Qunut.
I was just pondering though, that isn’t it a shame that our Masjids are not full of believers filling the rows to pray and beg our creator for his assistance against the sufferings of our fellow Muslims.
It’s just seems bizarre that we send out countless emails and texts containing graphic Powerpoint presentations, sample letters to write to our MP’s, demonstration dates and companies we should boycot etc etc, yet we are too lazy to make it to the Masjid for a congregational prayer.
I appreciate some people may be working and some have valid excuses, however you only have to visit a random Masjid for a Fajr congregation to see how strongly Muslims feel.
It’s damning to see that those who live a stones throw from a Masjid can still abandon congregational prayers. Astaghfirullah what have we become.
Let us truly demonstrate the fact that we are one Ummah and that all of us hurt when any of our brothers and sisters suffer, let us demonstrate this first by filling our Masjids brothers at congregational prayer times.
Especially at this easy time of the year very few brothers should have an excuse not to attend at least the Fajr & Isha cingregarions.
Let us implore Allah-Azza as Jal standing shoulder to shoulder in great numbers and truly show our solidarity with our fellow Muslims.

Just got this email:
A few days ago Sh. Mukhtar’s mother passed away in Jeddah. She was ill in hospital in Jeddah for several months during which the Shaikh remained with her till her final moments.
Those who know Sh. Mukhtar, know of his extra affection and Birr that he has had for his mother, so these are very difficult moments for the Shaikh. However, with that being the case as soon as he got back to Madeenah, he’s had his house open for visitors who wished to pay their condolences.
Many feel that with the passing away of his mother, the Shaikh will now be more consistant in his Duroos and even increase the amount of time he gives to students. Others feel that he will now get married, considering the fact that he abstained from doing so in order to spend most of his time with his mother. Wallahu A’lam.
